The Rochester Math Club hosted the 2024 Rochester Math Festival on November 9, 2024. Thanks to two MATHCOUNTS dad volunteers for hosting a table and sharing about MATHCOUNTS!
This family-friendly event brought together budding mathematicians, math educators, and organizations passionate about inspiring a love for mathematics—and we were so excited to be part of the action.
75 students ranging from grade K-12 participated in the math competition that took place during the event. Overall 200 people attended.
The event featured a packed schedule, including the Rochester Area Math Competition (RAMC), which welcomed students from grades K-12, and an inspiring keynote speech by Dr. Paul Zeitz. Known for his enthusiasm and mathematical brilliance, Dr. Zeitz delighted the crowd with insights into solving one of the “meanest math questions of the 20th century.”
