Congratulations 2026 MATHCOUNTS Super Coaches!

Each year at the State Competition, Minnesota MATHCOUNTS recognizes Super Coaches – Coaches who have coached a team or individual to the state competition five, 10, 15, and even 20 times.

Building a MATHCOUNTS team, inspiring middle schoolers to spend time practicing for chapter and state competitions isn’t easy. In fact, it’s so challenging that coaches who bring teams to state year after year are recognized with the MATHCOUNTS Super Coach Award.

This year, Minnesota MATHCOUNTS recognized Super Coach Arne Maijala, Cloquet Middle School, for bringing a team to the State MATHCOUNTS Competition every year for ten years!

We also recognized four Super Coaches for bringing a team to the State Competition for five years.

Those coaches are:

• Scott Lillestrand, Salk Middle School
• Marceil Skluzacek, Scott Highlands Middle School
• Kari Pratt, Dakota Meadows Middle School
• Jennifer Rabeay, Rabeay Home School
