State Competition Results
Top individual winners of the 2009 state MATHCOUNTS competition (in order of finish) are:
1. Jacob Neis. Chapel Hill Academy, Chanhassen
2. Roy Zhao, Wayzata West Middle School, Wayzata
3. Max Wang, Central Middle School, Eden Prairie
4. Ian McMeeking. St. John the Evangelist, Rochester,
These four won top honors from among 115 participants representing 42 schools at the 26th annual competition held Saturday, March 14, at the Radisson Conference Center in Pymouth.
The four students form the state team that represented Minnesota at DisneyWorld in Flordia, May 7-10, to compete in the national MATHCOUNTS competition against teams from throughout the United States.

Top team honors
The top scoring team at the meet was: Central Middle School, Eden Prairie. Coaches are Dan DeMarce and Bill Prem. DeMarce and Prem will coach the State Team that is going to the National Finals.
